There are several jobs you can do

1. The lumberjack- Be a brute faced Nord or Orc. Make your living chopping wood for the mill. 

2. The miner- be a Nord or Orc. Live in Dawnstar and spend your time in the mines. If you run out of ore, wait for 5 hours.

3. The farmer- be a dirty faced Nord. You should be strong to plow the fields

4. The rich noble- be an Imperial. You shouldn't be very strong. Live in a mansion or castle. Always wear fine clothes

5. The young blacksmith- Get a mod where you can own a house in Riverwood and work for Alvor. Be a young Nord and wear a blacksmith apron

6. The average blacksmith- Be a Nord. Only make iron and steel.

7. The master blacksmith- Get a mod where Skyforge is better. Than, use console commands to delete Eorlund Grey-Mane. So now you can be the Skyforge blacksmith!

8. The hunter- live in a small village and hunt. You make money by selling your pelts. A wood elf would be best

9. The fisherman- be an argonian and live in Riften. Sell your meat

10. The ship captain- Be an Imperial! Find a ship and live in it (there is a mod on steam with a boat called the Okaazah) and fast travel to port cities (the okaazah can travel to ports). Wear fine clothes

My personal rules

Whenever I roleplay, these are the rules I use:

1. Walking- Always walk in cities. Also walk if you have been running for a while and if you just finished a fight

2. Waiting- The rules of waiting depend on what you are roleplaying as. If your job is something that you need to actually do something (like a blacksmith or lumberjack), wait for like an hour. If you have a job that involves waiting (like a guard), grab a book in real life and read for an hour. Don't get on your phone (it ruins the experience!). I also recommend a mod called 'Dovahkiin relaxes too' for this

3. Eating- There are several mods that require you to eat and drink. Or if you are on console you can eat at least twice a day. to drink, either drink mead or something or go down to the river

4. The only time you are allowed to sprint in town or fast travel is when you first make your character and you need to buy something or get to a house to make it seem like you have been doing that job for years

5. Stay in character- If you are a lumberjack, you probably wouldn't do many quests. If you are a nature lover, you probably wouldn't kill that deer. Things like that

6. keep it lore friendly- If you are a Bosmer, don't pick flowers or do anything to harm vegatation. You must only eat meat. And most Nords do not like magic\

7. If you run into a village or town while travelling, don't just ride right through (unless you are doing something very urgent). Stop and see if anyone needs help.

8. Don't plan out your entire life before making the character. All you need is a basic overview of it. Like his personality and job.
